Staff Development Training - Drug and Alcohol Awareness
I've just attended a two hour session in our College Staff Development Week called (Drug and Alcohol Awareness). It was most informative. The member of staff taking the session teaches on the Counselling courses and certainly knew his stuff!! His compassion and understanding of those who unfortunately come into the categories of being alchohol or drug dependent was evident. Samples of various drugs (synthetic samples not the real things) were available for us to look at. I didn't know there were so may drugs, or what the slang names of some of them were until I went to the session. You learn something new every day!

That sounds a good session. My boyfriend had quite a past in his younger days and being total opposites I know nothing of it at all. He'll often use slang words when talking of drugs and I sit there like a dummy not knowing what he's going on about. I could do with going to a session like this!
